Events already started this past weekend, like the Canis Lupus Challenge at Canyons. More are happening this week, and the fun continues every weekend until April when the resorts close for the season. Whether you’re looking to leave the kids at home or do something with the whole family, you have options. Here are 10 Park City spring events you don’t want to miss.

3/22 Canyons Spring Gruv Pond Skimming & Free Spring Concert collage-w550

This is the biggest spring event in Park City, whether you try to skim the pond or not.  It’s a day-long party on the mountain filled with costumes, skiing, and live music. Registration for the brave pond-skimmers begins at 9:00 a.m. in Canyons Resort Village at One Sweet Ride.

The contest starts at 12:00 p.m. at the pond beside Red Pine Lodge and goes until 3:00 p.m. You will need a pass to ride the Gondola up like you were skiing to watch pond skimming. At 3:00 p.m., Grammy award-winning Steel Pulse begins performing in the resort village at the base of the Gondola. Cody ChesnuTT is opening for them this year and it’s going to be a blast. Kids are always welcome at Canyons, but this is a mountain town party and it’s right in the middle of Spring Break. You can bring them along to ski or snowboard and they can even check out the activities, but being in the center of this event with them will be tough.

Carpool or take the bus. Not sure what pond-skimming is? Check out this video from last year.
